ROAD RECYCLING SERVICES

Lower carbon solutions. Proven performance.

We help clients deliver smarter pavement construction through high-performance road recycling solutions that reduce embodied carbon, lower costs and support more efficient delivery.

Sustainable Materials

We offer a range of economical, recycled and low carbon pavement materials as an alternative to traditional pavement construction materials. They can be used across the full spectrum of paving applications, including motorways and trunk roads, estate roads and footways and cycleways and are compliant with national and local authority standards and specifications.

Roadpave HBM

Roadpave Hydraulically Bound Materials (HBM) utilises hydraulic binders such as cement and lime and incorporates sustainable aggregate feedstocks to produce HBM that are suitable for use as sub-base and road base layers, as well as binder course layers in footways and cycleways.

Roadpave Eco-Phalt

Roadpave Eco-Phalt is our verified low‑carbon, cold‑recycled bitumen‑bound material designed to replace conventional hot‑mix asphalt base and binder course materials. With proven performance across major public and private sector schemes, Eco‑Phalt enables clients to significantly reduce embodied carbon while maintaining structural integrity, compliance, and long‑term durability.

Sustainable materials, produced in-house

Our road recycling materials are produced at our Leyland Recycling Depot, home to our advanced SIMEM continuous mixing plant.

With the ability to produce bitumen emulsion, cement and hydraulically bound materials, as well as concrete, the plant gives us the control, consistency and output needed to deliver quality at scale.

With daily production capacity of up to 1,000 tonnes, high-accuracy dosing, automated correction against design targets and moisture levels, and a highly automated process throughout, it is designed to support reliable, repeatable performance every time.

Verified carbon savings

Our Eco-Phalt range is backed by published Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), giving clients clear, verified data to support lower carbon decision-making.

Eco‑Phalt Standard: 30.6 kgCO₂e per tonne*

Eco‑Phalt Bio: negative31.8 kgCO₂e per tonne (carbon‑negative)

Hot Mix Asphalt sector average 52.18 kgCO₂e per tonne

Eco-Phalt Bio can deliver a 161% cradle-to-gate carbon reduction

Up to 41% lower emissions than standard hot mix asphalt

Verified lower carbon performance with no compromise on compliance or durability

Expertise at every stage

Our road recycling capability is backed by practical technical expertise that helps clients make better decisions from the earliest stages of a scheme through to delivery and long-term performance.

Grey and red Site Investigation icon

Site Investigation

We carry out coring, trial pits, logging, CBR and surface modulus testing, and PAK testing to understand existing pavement conditions and support the right design approach.

Grey and red Pavement Design Icon

Pavement Design

Using site investigation data, we provide pavement and surfacing design advice to recognised standards including DMRB, TRL 611 and Interpave Heavy Duty Pavements. This allows us to value engineer the most effective solution for performance, cost and carbon.

Grey and red Quality Assurance Icon

Quality Assurance

All materials are rigorously tested in UKAS accredited laboratories, and verified in-situ via Lightweight Deflectometer (LWD).

Grey and red BIM and Digital Delivery icon

BIM and Digital Delivery

Our BIM-aligned digital engineering capability supports construction-stage assurance of levels, geometry, tie-ins, drainage and buildability, helping reduce risk, improve quality, support cost control and reduce waste.

“Innovation is at the heart of everything we do in Blackpool, and the Langdale Road scheme perfectly showcases that commitment… we have achieved significant carbon savings, enhanced value, and a sustainable legacy… setting a powerful example for the wider sector.”
